Poverty that cannot be fixed: A 357.1 billion TL ‘fight’ against poverty

Expenditure on the fight against poverty in the January-August period of 2026 matched the total expenditure for the whole of 2025. According to data reflecting the scale of poverty in Turkey, 357.1 billion TL was spent on ‘combating poverty’ in just the first eight months of 2026.
